Two $500.00 scholarships are awarded to seniors each year who want to continue their education. Interested seniors should get an application from their guidance counselor.
The recipients are selected by the Executive Board and announced at graduation.
HEA donates to the After Prom Party in order to provide students
a safe place to go after the Junior/Senior Prom.
HEA awards an Elementary and Secondary teachers of the year.
These individuals are nominated by their peers and are then selected by former “Teachers of the Year.”
Each Fall the HEA sponsors an After School Question and Answer Hour for the new and interested teaching staff. The purpose of this dinner meeting is to help new staff begin their teaching career by educating them on their local master agreement, tenure, and insurance.
The HEA provides a Membership Q&A “After School Hour” in mid February
as a social time and to discuss current events affecting the teaching staff. |
