The Harrison Education Association is the governing body of the professional educators at Harrison Community School District. This Association is governed by the Executive Board which is made up of the Officers (president, vice president, secretary, and treasurer) and Building Representatives. The Executive Board is elected by the active membership and makes all decisions. The current President is Mary Duvall, Retired Title 1 teacher at the Middle School.

The objective of this Association is the improvement of education, the advancement of the interests of education and of educators, and the promotion of the professional growth of its membership. All professional employees of Harrison Community Schools pay dues to the HEA, MEA and NEA whether you are an active member or not, for the purpose of negotiation of the Master Agreement (including your benefits package) and representation during a grievance and/or disciplinary hearings.

As a member of the Harrison Education Association we know that questions arise from time to time. To answer some of the common questions, we have prepared this web site. Please add it to your “favorites” and refer to it when ever necessary.
